We envisaged the couture to be a place of joy and freedom for women, where they can interact, personalize the space, and also the designers can engage with them. The key design approach was to develop spaces for women that are as comforting as a traditional pol house courtyard, yet with a contemporary accent. Adding the play of openings through axially oriented arched jalis, and the play of mirrors was a conscious design decision to extend spaces and add mystery. Vernacular furniture in the central space with a backdrop screen crafted with mirrors, wood, and fabrics,  represents the richness of local crafts and heritage.  A blooming color palette brings in feminine character to the spaces and a tint of gold speaks of luxury.
